For years I dreamed about living in the French countryside with my family, but the time just never seemed right. Then one day it hit me: the kids were growing up (funny how that happens), and if we didn’t do it soon, we’d miss our window. Three years ago, my husband and I finally took the plunge and moved our family from Seattle to Provence.

What got us there:

So what finally pushed us to turn thought into action? We got clear on why we wanted to move. Without that clarity, we would never have done it. Because the reality is, moving abroad is hard, and you want to give up multiple times along the way. But once you figure out the why, it drives you and keeps you focused on the end goal. At least that’s what was true for us.
